Why Couples Fly to Cappadocia for Their Wedding Photos

Cappadocia is one of those rare places that looks unreal in photographs and still surprises you in person. Millions of years of wind and water carved the fairy chimneys; every clear morning a hundred hot-air balloons rise above them. Put a couple in the middle of that and you get a wedding photograph that needs no explanation.
A sky that sets itself up every morning
Weather permitting, the balloons fly at first light almost every day. If you have ever said "I want a wedding photo with balloons behind us," there is exactly one address for it. Stand in the right valley at the right minute — which is precisely our job — and hundreds of them lift directly behind you.
A honeymoon that keeps going after the shoot
Cappadocia works in every season. Staying in a cave hotel is an experience in itself; you eat breakfast on a terrace while balloons drift past at eye level. Around your shoot you can walk through the Göreme Open Air Museum, descend into the Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı underground cities, climb Uçhisar Castle, or watch the potters in Avanos. Balloon rides, horseback riding and ATV tours are all a short drive away.
Frames you cannot get anywhere else
Half-wild horses crossing the valleys at golden hour. Century-old carpet shops lit by mosaic lanterns. Swings hung facing open valleys. Stone-columned terraces above Göreme. None of this can be built in a studio, which is why no two couples leave here with the same set of photographs — everyone gets their own version of the place.
Come with someone who lives here
Cappadocia's light changes by the hour, the season and the valley. A team that works with that light every morning knows which frame belongs where and when. As a wife-and-husband pair, one of us sets the pose while the other catches the moment you are not performing — that is usually the photograph you end up printing. Tell us your dates and we will show you our Cappadocia.
